Churton Heath Farm is in the middle of quiet countryside, in the village of Bruera just south of Chester. The brick-built farmhouse is down a long driveway, well away from the road. It dates from the early 1800’s, and has a pretty garden. There is plenty of secure parking space, with a separate drive for guests.

Bruera derives its name from the French word ‘bruyere’, meaning ‘heathland’ – it’s characteristic Cheshire farming land, dotted with cows, pigs and sheep. Fields surround the farmhouse, so peace and quiet are guaranteed. Both rooms enjoy lovely views across the fields.

The village of Aldford is only a mile down the road – an easy and pleasant walk. Aldford - part of the estate of the Duke of Westminster - is a pretty village. The attractive red brick houses all have beautifully-kept gardens, and the village pub, the ‘Grosvenor Arms’, is an excellent place to eat or just enjoy a quiet drink. It has a large garden and spacious seating, and a wonderful menu to boot. We can reserve you a table here – just ask when you book your room.

There are lots of farm walks around Churton Heath Farm – you can borrow a map or leaflet from the farm. The land around the farm is fairly flat, so it’s easy walking. You can see our own rare-breed Gloucester Old Spot pigs and Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cattle on the farm.
