What a lovely summer we have had!

Doesn't the sunshine make such a difference!  Everybody seems to have been really cheerful this summer, and it is so nice to wake up to the sun shining!

We have had a very busy summer, which has been very rewarding and also very satisfying to see so many contented and happy guests have a good time here at Churton Heath Farm.

The boys have had a lovely summer holidays.  We had a week in Anglesey, which was great fun, with lovely weather and lots of fishing and boating!  They then went off to various places, such as Cornwall, Norfolk and The Lakes, and Sam has taken up mountain biking!  Charlie has, of course, been busy on the farm helping Jim, which is great.

I can't believe they have gone back to school, and the treadmill starts again!  Let's hope the Autumn weather it kind and we get back into the swing of things without too much trouble!

We very much hope to see you at Churton Heath Farm, either for your first visit, or for a return one!

New Carpet and Painted Walls!

At last the red swirley wirley carpet has gone!!  The carpet that we inherited when we arrived is no longer!  Have got a very good deal from our friend Chris Maltby, Maltby's of Chester, so  we have taken the plunge and changed the carpet in the hall, landing and stairs and had the walls painted - it looks very smart!!  Now we have to keep it clean!!  Hope to see you soon!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe that it's the middle of January already, where has the time gone!!  Happy New Year to all and let's hope that it is a good one for everyone!

We've had a quiet spell in the B&B, which as been lovely in one way, but not in another!!  Bookings are slowly trickerling in, with people taking our midweek special offer up, and repeat visitors their complimentary bottle of wine at either of our local pubs - wish we got one!!

It's definately time the snow went and we had a good dry spell of weather, so that Jim can get on with the farming, we are terribly behind with all the rain that we have had!

I do hope that we see you sometime in 2013, if not, it only leaves me to wish you and your family/friends all the very best.

Top Room seems to be a success!

Well we've done a 3rd room - it's on our second floor, called appropriately "The Top Room", and it seems to be a great success.  I think our guests like being on the 2nd floor, it's even more peaceful than the others, and still has the lovely view!

It has certainly meant more work, but I hope that it is going to be worthwhile.  It's great that the whole house is being used, loved and cared for!!

Let's hope this is continues to be popular!!

Told off by the Bank Manager!!

Just had our yearly visit from our bank manager, who pointed out that I hadn't blogged for a while!!  Perhaps it's because we have been very busy!! No excuse I know.  It's been a strange summer.  Awful weather, but lots of bookings!!

We have had some lovely guests visit us, from far afield and near by.  Everybody (well almost everybody!) seems to have enjoyed their stay, and have been a pleasure to look after!!

The boys have gone back to school, quite cheefully!!  Sam has to choose his GSCE's this year, so a lot of hard work will have to be done!!  Charlie is playing every sport that he can manage, along with a bit of school work on the side!!

The butcher's shop has been fairly busy, we're always wanting to welcome new customers in though!!

We very much would like to welcome you all to our award winning Bed and Breakfast, so hopefully see you soon!!
